Abstract [en]
A temporary office / café / work situation.
Computers, books, headphones and the like are welcome. There will be coffee, water, places to sit, unannounced performative practices and I will do a couple of announced dances and choreographic gestures.
Come and go as you like; write, move, read, watch, chat, listen, rest, or something else.
Temporary Workplace Situation is a place for coexisting attentions and simultaneous pursuits; bring that text you are writing, dance practice you are practicing, book you are reading, conversation you are wanting to have, or any other thing that currently claims your attention.
For this presentation I am interested in questions relating to the function of my dancing practice, the ambiguity of a work situation, the work situation as performance, and how displacing some of the conditions in my work environment can re-orient my attention towards what I am working with.
I invite you to attend to what you need through this situation, to allow possibilities for it to inform that which you are attending to.
