Dance performance 

This is an ensemble dance performance created by choreographer Milla Koistinen. The performance explores ecstasy as a state where we are taken outside of ourselves and transcend to an ‘elsewhere’ place and invites the spectator to observe a choreography of subtle tipping points between distance and closeness, togetherness and estrangement; fragility and strength. Performed by five dancers and with design by visual artist Sandra E. Blatterer, the audience are invited to move around the space and observe how two air-filled objects take on different shapes, meanings and associations as the performers explore their materiality, tactility and aural qualities. Sound design by Grégoire Simon and Paul Valikoski and dramaturgy by Synne Behrndt. Premiered 27th October 2022 at Dance House Helsinki, Finland. Then performances in Berlin (Radialsystem) and Salzburg 2023.
