In my graduation project A Home, I explored the question: How can I artistically investigate the idea of home through visual and narrative dramaturgy? The project examines home as both a physical place and a symbolic concept, using the hotel Ett Hem as a central metaphor and setting. Through a hybrid form combining vlog and found-footage aesthetics, I investigated how perspective, gaze, and camera placement shape storytelling and influence our understanding of relationships, identity, belonging, and power. The work was developed through an extensive writing and rewriting process, research into place and architecture, and a strong focus on visual composition. The project reflects on contemporary issues of housing, class, and social belonging, while exploring how our relationship to home influences the way we see ourselves and others. Ultimately, the work led me to understand dramaturgy as something that is not only expressed through language and dialogue, but equally through images, space, bodies, and the presence of the camera.
