Denna bok är ett meddelande till framtiden. Den ger en bild av hur tanke- och handlingsmönster formades kring högre undervisning och forskning vid enheten för Film och media åren 2025—2026. Det är mer än en bok. Det är en tidskapsel.

Den kommer att färdas mot framtiden och vittna om den bredd, den generositet gentemot studenternas idéer och den respekt för konstnärlig frihet som våra högre konstnärliga utbildningar bygger på, där vi betraktar film, radio, ljud och rörlig bild både som konstnärliga språk och som sätt att förstå världen. Den vittnar om vad som upptog tankarna hos dem som undervisade, forskade och såg till att arbetet fungerade tillsammans med studenterna. En plats där framtidens berättare formas i ett sammanhang där experiment, reflektion och omsorg ingår i det konstnärliga uppdraget.

Boken är ett resultat av ett samarbete mellan Film och media och Biblioteket om att göra en publikation i form av en antologi där samtliga medarbetare och ämnen på enheten för Film och media skulle presenteras.

Syftet med publikation är att i en föränderlig värld synliggöra ämnesenhetens djup och bredd i utbildning och forskning och att tillgängliggöra resultatet för det omgivande samhället.

It bears witness to what occupied the minds of those who taught, conducted research and ensured that the work ran smoothly in collaboration with the students. A place where the storytellers of the future are shaped within a context where experimentation, reflection and care form part of the artistic mission.The book is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Film and Media and the Library to produce a publication in the form of an anthology presenting all staff members and subjects within the Department of Film and Media.The aim of the publication is, in a changing world, to highlight the depth and breadth of the department’s education and research, and to make the results accessible to the wider community.
