My intention with this exposition has been to reflect on the question ”How can we deepen the understanding of the text both for the actor and the audience by embodying the narrative on stage?” This question has been leading my research through the previous two years and is also the main inspiration for my practical research exposition called ”Reaching beyond the text” which was shown at SADA in November 2017. This written exposition is a reflection upon the processes I have gone through in relation to the educational programme Movit, my research question, and the practical part of the exposition. I have chosen to present the written part as a virtual body of textual material and I would like to call this an expanded essay in which I let the form become the content and the content become the form. In this way, the essay takes the form of the process itself as a small meta model of my work and the explorative laboratory paths I walked together with the three performers involved.
